Welcome to Our Erasmus+ Page! We are proud to take part in the Erasmus+ programme, funded by the European Union, which supports education, training and cultural exchange across Europe. Our short-term project, Our Future is Bright, focuses on building digital literacy, fostering a strong sense of European identity, and promoting sustainability in our school community. As part of this exciting project, our staff and students took part in three inspiring mobilities:
Job Shadowing in Tallinn, Estonia
A structured course in Vilamoura, Portugal on Art for Relaxation and Outdoor Digital Learning
A Group Mobility for 6th Class pupils to Granada, Spain
This Erasmus+ journey has broadened our horizons, strengthened our teaching, and created lasting European connections. Explore this page to see our photos, updates, and the impact Erasmus+ has had on our school!
From Mayo to Maracena: A European Experience to Remember
In May, our 6th Class pupils took part in an unforgettable Erasmus+ group mobility to Maracena, Granada, Spain, funded by the European Union. Over the course of five days, they visited Emilio Carmona Primary School, shared presentations about our own school and county, made new friendships, and experienced life in a Spanish classroom. The group also explored Spanish culture, enjoyed a traditional Flamenco show, and spent a fantastic day at the beach in Salobreña. One of the highlights was an outside visit to the world-famous Alhambra Palace, where they learned about Spain’s rich history. The trip gave pupils the chance to develop their digital and cultural literacy, build confidence, and gain a deeper sense of what it means to be a European citizen. Staff and students alike created memories that will last a lifetime — and we’re so proud of how well they represented our school. Children’s own accounts and reflections from the trip will be shared in the next section!
